PowerPoint Creation Tips: Image Use

When creating a PowerPoint presentation, images can often add quite a bit to the educational content. However, there are a few things to watch out for when adding images.

  • Copyright Issues: Be careful when adding images that they are not copyrighted. This would include stills from TV shows, magazine and news websites, movies, etc... Including these types of images in your presentation could be considered copyright infringement.

  • Image Placement: Be careful when placing your images on the PowerPoint slide that they do not cover important text or hang off of the slide. If either of these two things occurs, important information may not successfully be delivered to the user.

By following these guidelines, you can easily enhance your PowerPoint presentation to deliver educational content to your users.
